Certification of welding manufacturers for welding railway vehicles and components according to EN 15085-2
Rail vehicles are exposed to high risks and potential dangers and are in the public interest. Therefore, companies that manufacture, weld, design, assemble, and/or maintain rail vehicles will be required to provide certification.

This standard is based on ISO 3834 – Quality requirements for welding metallic materials – and quality requirements, design and development specifications, manufacturing requirements, as well as inspection and testing requirements and documentation and/or evidence that are specific to railway applications.
