Information about exams and certificates

Individual training courses and modular course cycles comprehensively cover the topic and prepare for the exam in the context of a specific certificate of competence.

The seminars are based on current issues, updating existing knowledge and addressing new topics.

Thanks to internal training, all offers qualityAustria reaches customers directly. Content is tailored to the requirements of individual companies.

In addition to updating and supplementing knowledge, methods and competences, refreshing seminars qualityaustria also enables informal exchange of experiences with colleagues from the industry.

Certificates of attendance will be issued to participants who have completed at least 80% of the training. Certificates of attendance should not be confused with certificates, which are issued only after successfully completing the exam.

Admission requirements are listed for each test in the training program. Registration for the exam must be made in writing to Quality Austria, and all requirements must be confirmed by the applicant. If the individual has completed training within the qualification programs, qualityIn Austria, training is automatically recognized if the individual has participated in at least 80% training. If applicants wish to complete other training courses, equivalence must be established. To establish this equivalence, a separate written application must be submitted. The application must be accompanied by a description of the completed training and its comparison to the certification program requirements. Relevant requirements can be obtained from the certification body.

A qualification check will be conducted to verify compliance with the certification program and the validity of the references provided by the certification applicant.

Exams are, unless otherwise specified in the training program, paid events that must be booked separately. The number of participants is limited. The exam format depends on the expected competencies and may include written, oral, and/or practical sections of the exam. Assessment is based on a point system. Each task in the written or oral exam is assigned a maximum score. Partial assessment is possible. Failure to pass the exam may be repeated. If the exam consists of multiple sections, individual sections may be repeated within 12 months.

Quality Austria is committed to its impartiality in conducting certification activities and has regulated the management of any conflicts of interest in its management system to ensure the objectivity of its certification activities.

After successfully completing the exam, Quality Austria issues a certificate in accordance with EN ISO/IEC 17024, which corresponds to a nationally recognized certificate due to Quality Austria's accreditation as a certification body for persons. qualityAustria is sent—unless otherwise documented in the Quality Austria business process system—to a private address approximately three weeks after passing the exam. Certificates are sent collectively to the company after the internal exams.

Applications for EOQ certificates should be submitted to Quality Austria. These applications will be sent with each initial or extended certificate and are also available online. The fee in Austria is €65 (excluding VAT). Customers who apply for EOQ certificates through partner organizations qualityAustria, pay the fees of the relevant Partner. Please expect a processing time of approximately one month. Certificates and Identity Cards will be shipped with an invoice to a private address.

Certificates qualityAustria are certificates of competence and are valid for three or five years. To extend the certificates, the certificate holder must prove their competence through the required experience and, for some certificates, by participating in appropriate refresher training (for each certificate, the renewal criteria are detailed along with the exam description in the training program). Please also read the General Terms and Conditions for Certificate Holders. Each certificate holder will be informed by Quality Austria in due time before the expiry of the validity period. In such cases, application forms for certificate extensions are sent. These are also available online.

Detailed criteria for extending each certificate are outlined in the training program exam descriptions. Failure to meet these requirements will result in the certificate not being extended. Certificate extension fee qualityAustria is included in the price of refresher training (individual arrangements for in-house training), otherwise it is €25 (excluding VAT). EOQ certificate extensions will be treated as newly issued certificates, taking into account the existing certificate number, for a fee of €65 (excluding VAT). Extended certificates will be sent with an invoice, depending on the certificate's validity date, in a timely manner to a private address.
