The history of the company's founding

Quality Austria was founded as a limited liability company for training, certification and assessment in 2004. It comprises four organisations OQS, OVQ, OQA i AFQM and denotes competences in the field of quality, environmental and safety management and related to the industry.

2024
Quality Austria - Trainings, Zertifizierungs und Begutachtungs GmbH has been operating under the name Quality Austria Holding GmbH since 1 October 2024. The operational activities were taken over by two subsidiaries: Quality Austria Certification GmbH (certification of persons, products, management systems and verification) and Quality Austria Academy GmbH (training, education and continuing education).

2011
QUALITY AUSTRIA-POLSKA SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ (a limited liability company) is established in Poland, headed by Mirosław Bienioszek, President of the Management Board. Quality Austria - Polska Sp. z o.o. is a subsidiary of the leading certification and training body, Quality Austria - Trainings, Zertifizierungs und Begutachtungs GmbH, headquartered in Vienna.

2006
Quality Austria is accredited for the certification of people, management systems and products.

2004

Second and final step (for now) towards the merger: OQS/OVQ Sales and Marketing Ltd. changes its name to Quality Austria - Trainings, Zertifizierungs und Begutachtungs GmbH.

On 23 March 2004, at a joint board meeting, all four organisations agree on the following Quality Austria share, signed by the Presidents and duly notarised: OQS 59%, OVQ 30%, OQA 8% and AFQM 3%.

2003

Beginning of the gradual merger of OQS Certification and Evaluation Ltd. and OVQ Training & Certification Ltd.

In the first stage, the international sales and marketing operations of OQS Certification and Evaluation Ltd. and OVQ Training and Certification Ltd. are merged into OQS /OVQ Sales and Marketing Ltd.
