If an organization has a high level of business excellence, it means that it is able to meet requirements and therefore achieve exceptional results and excellent performance.
It's easy to say that excellence means sustained, exceptional performance and (exceeding) meeting stakeholder expectations.
Every organization is excellent - BUT the level of excellence varies. This level of excellence can be measured, compared, and certainly improved. We design and measure Excellence according to the EFQM Model. Furthermore, the EFQM Model is the basis for the assessment of Staatspreis Unternehmensqualität (Staatspreis Unternehmensqualität).Austrian Excellence Award).
The EFQM model, based on seven criteria, is used to structure and measure excellence. Independent assessors will conduct the assessment using RADAR logic.

Using the EFQM model allows you to see the organization as a whole; it establishes a framework that helps companies consider all their business units without losing sight of any one. It can be viewed as pieces of a puzzle that are separate but interconnected, contributing to the bigger picture.
The structure of the EFQM model is based on the iron logic of asking three questions:
- Why Does this organization exist? What purpose does it fulfill? Where does this particular strategy come from? (Direction)
- How intends to achieve its goal and strategy? (Execution)
- What What has she actually achieved so far? What does she intend to achieve tomorrow (Results)
Central to the rationale behind the EFQM Model (the „red thread”) is the link between an organisation’s purpose, vision and strategy and how it is used to help it create lasting value for its most important stakeholders and deliver exceptional results.
