About the training

During the training, participants will become familiar with selected topics related to welding steel and aluminum rail vehicle components according to the EN 15085 standard. The training presentations focus on specialized issues related to welding repairs and the maintenance of rolling stock.

Training objective

The training aims to present several issues occurring during welding of steel and aluminium elements of rail vehicles according to the EN 15085 standard, especially during welding repairs and maintenance of rolling stock.

  • Manufacturers of rail vehicles
  • People involved in the distribution of rail vehicle components

  • People involved in the implementation of EN 15085 in the company

Course of training

New legal and technological solutions for welding rail vehicles in accordance with the EN 15085 standard:
1. Determination of CL and CP parameters in accordance with the new edition of EN 15085-3: 2023,
2. A new attempt to use laser welding in the railway industry,
3. Requirements for welding consumables used in the railway industry,
4. Requirements of the EN 15085-6 standard.
