SCC – Safety Certificate for Subcontractors – Training for supervisory and operational staff

About the training

This training is for anyone who wants to gain knowledge in occupational health and safety. Learn about the requirements and regulations for working in high-risk environments, among other things. Earn your SCC certificate.
Training duration: 1 day (8 hours)*
*This supplementary training is intended for individuals with basic knowledge of occupational health and safety. Proof of basic knowledge includes, for example, a university diploma, a certificate of completion of a vocational technical school, a vocational school, or a vocational college. Documents confirming the above should be translated into German – translations can be provided by qualityAustria, but this is not included in the training price.
The duration of the training depends on the participant's competences and is regulated by the requirements for issuing SCC certificates.
It is also possible to participate in a full 3-day (24-hour) training:
Full-time SCC training - 24 hours
Anyone can participate in the full-time training, regardless of education or professional experience. The exam is administered immediately after the course concludes.
Document confirming: After successfully completing the exam, the participant receives an SCC certificate.

Training objective

Raising staff awareness of occupational safety, informing them about requirements, regulations and practical applications in high-risk work conditions.

Training recipients

The training is aimed at:

  • employees performing supervisory functions, masters, foremen, managers
  • operational employees, contractors
  • employees who want to work in construction, assembly, or in particularly hazardous conditions
Course of training

The training covers the management of: staff safety, health and the working environment.

  • Legal provisions
  • Threat and risk assessment
  • Causes of accidents, accident prevention, accident reporting
  • Compliance with safety regulations
  • Operational organization
  • Specification of the workplace and tasks
  • Emergency measures
  • Hazardous substances
  • Fire and explosion protection
  • Work equipment
  • Working procedures
  • Electricity and radiation
  • Workplace design
  • Personal protective equipment
  • SCC 018 or 017 Exam

During the implementation of each program point:

  • the legal scope is discussed
  • SCC audit checklist questions and possible exam questions are discussed
  • we answer participants' questions
  • a workshop is being conducted: what evidence is needed to meet the given requirements
Exam

The training ends with an exam, after which you receive an SCC certificate.
Conditions for taking the exam: Taking the exam requires proof of basic knowledge in occupational health and safety, such as a university diploma, a certificate of completion of a vocational technical school, a vocational school, or a vocational college. Documents confirming the above must be translated into German - they can be translated by qualityAustria, but this is not included in the training price.

Submitting a document confirming completion of SCC training conducted by an authorized training unit - for at least 24 hours.

The exam questions are in a test format with the option to choose one correct answer from among 4 given ones.
Obtaining at least 70% correct answers is a condition for passing the exam.
