This course offers a comprehensive introduction to the IRIS standard and its structure, and covers the audit process and questions. The focus is on the benefits for the company, regardless of the company's motivation for implementing, utilizing, and/or improving the standard.
In 2017, ISO 22163 became an industry standard developed by UNIFE (Association of the European Railway Industry) specifically for the railway industry, extending the requirements of ISO 9001 to include railway-specific requirements.
In 2023, another transition to the ISO 22163:2023 standard took place, which, together with the IRIS Certification® Performance Assessment – Rules, the IRIS online database and the IRIS audit tool, forms the basis for certification in accordance with IRIS Rev. 4.
In addition to ISO 9001:2015, the IRIS standard also includes a number of specific requirements for rail vehicle manufacturers and suppliers. This course prepares you for the implementation and use of IRIS Rev. 4. You will also learn about possible approaches for effective integration with existing management systems.
During the training, participants will become familiar with the specific requirements of auditing for compliance with the ISO 22163 (IRIS) standard. Additionally, they will gain knowledge on process management and the principles of preparing audit documentation in accordance with this railway standard, among other things. All this with the goal of completing the training with the ISO 22163 (IRIS) Internal Auditor certification. Importantly, the training is largely conducted in a workshop format, which strongly encourages the exchange of views, experiences, and opinions. We invite you to attend!
